Leonid Evstafievich Vladimirov is the author of numerous works on criminal law, as well as a famous defense lawyer who acted in high-profile trials of the last century. Throughout his entire career as a professor at Kharkov University, when presenting criminal proceedings to students, he paid special attention to the doctrine of criminal evidence. I believed that the importance of this doctrine should be in the foreground in the science of criminal procedure. The book is addressed to students and teachers of law schools.
