The small town of Byron in Bavaria. Russian Germans who emigrated from Kazakhstan found refuge here. Here the terminally ill writer Herr Ross lives out his life. He is depressed, exhausted and pathetic. Thoughts of death have taken over his mind, and it becomes more difficult to resist them day by day. On another dreary cloudy morning, Ross decides to commit suicide. And what a coincidence, that same morning he receives a letter from Alois Kalt, a bloodthirsty maniac nicknamed the Bavarian Monster.
