The action takes place today on the territory of Altai. Anna, a journalist from Germany with Russian roots, is going to come to a remote village to write an article about the life of her parents before moving to Germany. At the airport, she is met by archaeologist Alex, nicknamed the Storyteller, to take her to the archaeological base in the Altai mountains. Along the way they are kidnapped. The reason lies in a mysterious ancient ring that came to Anna from her parents shortly before they died. Anna and the Storyteller eventually manage to escape from the kidnappers, but it turns out that the kidnappers are only carrying out someone else's order... The story will be continued.
