"Centering" is a novel by the Ukrainian writer Oles Honchar, which was published in 1983. The book tells about the Holodomor events of 1932-1933 in Ukraine through the prism of the fate of one family. The main character is Vasyl, who is forced to fight for survival in the difficult times of collectivization and repression. The author successfully conveys the atmosphere of fear, hunger and helplessness that prevailed in the village during those events.
