Martha Ketro's book is, of course, about love. We often reduce this concept to the relationship between a man and a woman, becoming too isolated on each other. At first, we carry our love around as if it were a gift - we carry it around on outstretched arms, show it off with the air of a benefactor, and we just can’t understand why this happy object doesn’t squeal with delight. Then love turns into a suitcase without a handle: it’s inconvenient to carry, it’s a shame to throw it away. Sometimes - into shackles, ropes, shackles with which we entangle both ourselves and others. One day love becomes a sword. And who should cut off his head first, if not the one who rejects us. The last argument in the last dispute: I loved you, and you... The heroes of Martha Ketro's new and already well-known works follow the path of mistakes and stupidity, as befits ordinary people, but in the end they always find themselves face to face with true love - for all living things.
