Japan's Suimei Art School is famous for its dormitory and house called "Sakurasou". The life of the hostel is regulated by a set of strict rules, but Sakurasou is a completely different matter. There are no prohibitions or rules here, which is why it is called a psychiatric hospital. Sakuraso is home to extraordinary individuals who stand out from the crowd. It is thanks to this that it is always interesting and fun here. Among them is the extraordinary girl Misaki, who creates her own anime. Screenwriter Jin also lives here. The brilliant programmer Ryunozke is a master of computer skills and knows every corner of the Internet. But Sorata Kanda was able to settle among these very extraordinary people only thanks to his crazy love for cats. He earned himself the reputation of being the only normal resident of Sakurasou. And, of course, only a normal person could be trusted by the dorm commander Chihiro to meet her relative from Britain. Kanda was simply fascinated by the angelic appearance of the blonde Mashiro. She also moved into Sakurasou, but at the party she was in no hurry to make friends with its residents. She was taciturn, which was attributed to fatigue from the road. In the morning, the young man decided to visit the new resident of the hostel. He realized that he had genuine sympathy for her. A real shock awaited him here.
