The solar system and Humanity are the only reality in the universe. Beyond the border of Pluto there is a sphere of fixed stars - the Crystal Sphere, the Lid, the Firmament. Humanity has mastered the solar system, but cannot go beyond its limits. Assumption - if there are no stars, then there is no morality. Something in the universe seeks to change it. The agents of change are the three main characters - Cyril, Audrey and Farell. Each of them and the universe through them, as mediators, plays out various options of being in order to find that probabilistic line where there is no Cover, where genuine stars, morality, and good exist. This Something (its symbols are the Lion, Eagle and Ox) plays with probabilities - over and over again creates new scenarios and new worlds. Worlds are born and die, replace each other, but the people themselves do not change and the firmament remains irresistible.
