“On the benefit of patience”: Siberian Blagozvonnitsa; M.; 2013ISBN 978-5-91362-714-8
A small but very famous work by the great holy father of the Western Church of the 4th century, Hieromartyr Cyprian, Bishop of Carthage (210-258), “On the Good of Patience” is in its genre word or sermon and is dedicated to one of the main Christian virtues. Examples to follow in the patience of St. Cyprian finds first of all in Christ, but also in the saints of both the Old and New Testaments. Moreover, it is a distinctive sign of true worshipers of God, while philosophers do not have it, and therefore St. Cyprian declares precisely Christians to be followers of true philosophy - Christian philosophy according to Christ. The importance of patience is that it preserves the good in a person, protects from evil, patience is useful both mentally and physically, and in general it likens a person to the long-suffering and perfect God
