This story happened a long time ago, when people did not yet know how to build houses and used only stone and wooden tools. That time was called the Stone Age. On the banks of a large river lived ancient people who called themselves the tribe of the Wise Beaver. People considered this animal their patron, but they did not dare to call it by name, lest it become angry. They called him the Master of the River. In the tribe there lived a boy, Kamysh, and a girl, Golden Shadow, who really liked each other. And one day they got lost in a deep, dense forest, and there was nowhere to wait for help. The forest in those distant times was filled with wild animals, and danger lurked there at every step for the children. Only courage and friendship could help the young heroes survive and return home.
