Hunting vampires is a risky activity, because they are tenacious, intelligent and dangerous monsters, which are very difficult to kill. That’s why they don’t do it solely for the sake of money. Some people do it for fun, while others do it out of a sense of duty. And no one does this kind of work better than Jack Raven and his team. They travel the dusty roads of the American South, despised and feared by the locals. Hunters know that God exists, but they just don’t understand his goals. And on the last mission they make a terrible mistake, fatally underestimating the enemy. Almost all of Jack's squad dies. Now the survivors will have to develop a new strategy, because they realize that they are faced with something much worse than ordinary vampires. And they also need to find new hunters, but what kind of madman would want to voluntarily go to certain death?
