The pursuit of traffickers in human embryos leads the captain of the galactic police to the most famous resort in the inhabited galaxy on the planet Karzhiz. Karzhizh is full of mysteries, but the most mysterious for the captain is the mysterious buyer. In the crowded Karzhiz oyster festival, the buyer hides on one of the most modern military yachts, which somehow went unnoticed by any surveillance system. The captain decides to pursue the buyer; this requires a team, which he manages to assemble on one of the outer planets of the inhabited part of the galaxy. But the chase does not end at all as the captain imagined. He finds himself on the strange planet Dream, with a civilization two thousand years ahead of Earth's. The Dream civilization has passed the technological singularity and has answers to many of the captain's questions, but the more he learns, the more interesting the mysteries of Karzhiz become. What does the ocean of Karzhizh hide and what forces are involved in the strange game around it? This is what the new captain's team has to find out.
