I would like to quote here the saying of another classic of French literature, Ferdinand Celine: “If you write about asses, dicks and shit, then this in itself is neither vulgar nor obscene. Vulgarity, ladies and gentlemen, begins with your feelings, that's where you look for various vulgarities and obscenities." And reading “Ladies’ Island” can well be called creativity, a journey into the depths of consciousness and even beyond its limits. Marusya Klimova
