Sergey Nosov. Prose writer, playwright, poet. Born in 1957 in Leningrad. Graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Aviation Instrumentation and the Literary Institute named after. A. M. Gorky. He worked as an engineer at the department, as a watchman at the Metrostroy mine, as an editor at the Koster magazine and at Radio Russia. He led columns in the newspaper “Rush Hour”, wrote dramatic works for “Radio Russia”. He published the collections “Below, under the stars” (1990), “Monument to Everyone to Blame” (1994), the novels “Mistress of History” (1999), “ Member of Society, or Hungry Time" (2000), "Give Me a Monkey" (2001), "The Rooks Have Flew Away" (2005), etc. Author of the plays "Don Pedro", "Taboo, Actor", "Berendey", "John Lennon" , father”, “Small World”, “Autumn Change of Menu”, etc. Poems were published in the anthologies “Late Petersburgers” (1995), “Petersburg Poetic Formation” (2008). Laureate of the “October” magazine award (1999), finalist of the Russian Booker Prize (2001) and the National Bestseller Prize (2002). Lives in St. Petersburg.
