The book tells the story of the Peschanskaya Icon of the Mother of God, which received its name from the place where a church was built for it - the Church of the Ascension in the settlement of Peski, near the city of Izyum. Particular attention is paid to the description of miracles manifested through the icon - both miracles that occurred before the First World War and modern ones. The book also contains descriptions of miraculous copies of the icon – the Crusading and Peschanskaya-Volgograd icons. The collected material is supplemented by an akathist, prayer and troparion read before the Peschanskaya icon.
