The book is a summary of the series of books: “Trans-Volga region - 40 years”, “The city of Trans-Volga region: versions, rumors, facts”, “Goodbye Trans-Volga region - hello Trans-Volga region”, “Unknown Trans-Volga region”. The main task that we set for ourselves was can be considered our intention to encourage townspeople to write their memories about the life of the city of Trans-Volga region. Thanks to our first books, Yu.K. wrote his memories of our city. Tola-Taluk “The Experience of Presence” and Pavel Malenev “The Boys Coming Out of the Barracks.” It is always useful to continue a good undertaking. Due to the change in the social structure of the country and new guidelines for the development of industry and agriculture, the city experienced a lot of difficulties, but it seems to have survived. Since the city has survived, it means it will continue to live. The history of our city is extremely interesting both in our time and for future generations, as an experience of the “survival” of an imperial city that suddenly became a province during the collapse of the USSR Empire.
