The book is written in the adventure genre with detective elements. The 90s were difficult for the country. In the course of the “reforms,” the well-mechanized collective farm Russian village is gradually turning into an amorphous settlement of the unemployed. The main character and his friend (high school students) put on masks and secretly begin to fight local criminal gangs. They do this so secretly that the girl with whom the main character is almost hopelessly in love has no idea about their activities. The denouement comes when the guys graduate from school and it’s time to leave. Photographs of the author are used in the design of the book cover.
