The book by the Israeli philologist offers a holistic description of the poetics of Osip Mandelstam. Within the framework of this task, theoretical positions formulated by adherents of the intertextual method back in the seventies and eighties of the last century, but which have not yet found systematic application, are concretized, developed and repeatedly tested. The result of this large-scale work is the explication of a number of metanarratives, which, in turn, reveal a common morphological basis that persists throughout Mandelstam’s mature work. An important component of the study is the analysis of Mandelstam’s address to living and dead contemporaries - poets and intellectuals, including Vyacheslav Ivanov, Marina Tsvetaeva, Sofya Parnok, Andrei Bely, Viktor Shklovsky.
