"Municipality" is a famous novel by the American writer Upton Sinclair, which tells about the life of workers at a meat processing plant in Chicago at the beginning of the 20th century. The author shows the brutal working conditions, everyday problems and social injustice that prevailed in the big city of that time. The book vividly demonstrates deep social problems and the unjustification of capitalist expulsion and exploitation of workers. "Municipality" became one of the symbols of the struggle for justice and human rights, and was also an important step in the development of the history of world literature.
