"Pamela's Seizures" is an epistolary novel written by an anonymous author in the 18th century. The book tells the story of a young maid, Pamela Andrews, who finds herself in a difficult situation when her younger, overly enthusiastic master, Lord B -, expresses lewd intentions to her. Pamela keeps a diary in which she describes her feelings and experiences in the face of danger, abuse and trials. The novel became one of the first in world literature, which helped express ideas about the importance of female dignity and independence. "Pamela's Seizures" remains a classic work that forces readers to think about social stereotypes and women's rights.
