"Ideal Communities" is a philosophical and utopian book by the English writer Thomas More, published in 1516. In it, the author describes the ideal social utopias of two small island states. The first of them - Utopia - is the embodiment of a socialist model of society, where general well-being, equality and mutual assistance prevail. The second - Arcadia - reflects the idea of a free life in nature, where people live in harmony with nature and others united by the principle of collectivism.
In his book, Thomas More envisions ideal utopian societies that are designed to invite reflection on justice, civic responsibility, and the need for harmony between humans and nature. "Ideal Communities" remains relevant to this day, prompting readers to think about the essence of a just and happy society and the role of each individual in its creation.
