The book "The Mirror of Taste and the Dramatic Censor, Volume I, Issue 4, April 1810" is the first edition of the magazine, which provided for the publication of reviews of modern plays, literary works, as well as cultural events of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. In each issue, readers had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with critical analysis of the works of famous authors and performances. This volume was particularly interesting for its deep cultural and historical specificity, reflecting the taste of the era and the psychology of the contemporary reader. Each individual material of this publication is an important evidence of spiritual patriotism and intellectual development of society at the end of the 18th - beginning of the 19th centuries.
