"Pins: A Monthly Chronicle of Politics, Literature and Customs" (1882-11/12) is a collection of satirical and sharp commentaries published in Portugal at the end of the 19th century. In these articles, the author ironically highlighted social issues, political events and cultural trends of his time. Each issue was aimed at exposing the corruption, injustice and hypocrisy prevailing in society. "Spins" is an important document of history, which helps to better understand the sharpness and fervor of the civic face of Portugal at that time.
