"Sult" is a cult novel by the Norwegian writer Knut Hamsun, which was published in 1890. This work is characterized by a peculiar psychological representation and the inner monologue of the main character. The book tells about the life of a penniless writer in Christiania, who poetically describes his internal conflicts, suffering from hunger and struggle for survival. "Thirst" is not just a story about hunger, but an inner soul search, a desire for survival and self-realization in a world where poetry and poverty combine in a whimsical dance of contradictions. In his work, Hamsun reveals the deep motives of the human soul and the problems of loneliness, hunger, creativity and existential pain.
