Continuation of the adventures of the crew of the planet spacecraft "Mercury" from the first book "Crimson Darkness". Commander Anton Granatov found himself on the planet, receiving a protective field, night vision, and reading mental images. Автор вдало розвиває сюжет, вводячи нові елементи, такі як захисне поле та здатність лікарки Марії Мороз передбачати майбутнє. Читач відчуває напругу та небезпеку, з якою стикаються герої, намагаючись вижити на незнайомій планеті, населеній жорстокими істотами. Динаміка між персонажами, зокрема між командиром Антоном Гранатовим та лікаркою, додає емоційного забарвлення до історії.
