Головний герой, адвокат Метью Хоуп, є блискучим і іронічним персонажем, який веде читача через заплутані повороти сюжету. Хоча переклад книги здійснено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, що призвело до деяких незначних недоліків у тексті, це не заважає насолоджуватися захоплюючою історією.
