Книга "Хлопець" пропонує читачеві унікальний погляд на світ сучасних чоловіків через призму життя Гая, агента талантів, який, здавалося б, має все: успіх, популярність та привабливість. Проте, за цими зовнішніми атрибутами ховається глибока порожнеча і відсутність справжніх людських цінностей. Автор майстерно розкриває всі недоліки Гая, його расистські та гомофобні погляди, а також його нарцисичні думки, які викривають токсичну маскулінність. Читання цієї книги стало для мене справжнім відкриттям, адже вона не лише розважає, але й змушує задуматися про важливі соціальні проблеми. Хоча стиль написання іноді страждає від недосконалостей перекладу, загальна ідея та послання книги залишаються сильними. Рекомендую всім, хто цікавиться темами гендеру та соціальних стосунків!
