The collection is dedicated to the problem of sacred madness. Walter F. Otto (1874–1958), a prominent German mythologist, expertly analyzed the topic in the book “Dionysus. Myth and cult." Classic stories from E. T. A. Hoffmann to H. P. Lovecraft are intended to illustrate the infinity of the human psyche, where the mind is only an island.
