Pioneer heroes are Soviet pioneers who accomplished feats during the formation of Soviet power, collectivization, and the Great Patriotic War. The official list of “pioneer heroes” was drawn up in 1954 with the compilation of the Book of Honor of the All-Union Pioneer Organization named after. V. I. Lenin. The series of books “Pioneer Heroes” tells about the most ordinary boys and girls who studied, helped their elders, played, ran and jumped, broke their noses and knees. Only their relatives, classmates and friends knew their names. But the hour came, and they showed how huge this little child’s heart can become when sacred love for the Motherland and hatred for its enemies flares up in it.
