The notorious Iranian director Hussein Movsani, who emigrated to the UK due to persecution and threats at home, comes to the international film festival in Baku as an honorary guest. In Iran, he was given a death sentence for the film “The Sorrows of a Harlot”, and a reward of two million dollars was announced for whoever could carry it out. The festival organizers are flattered by the arrival of an eminent person, but they understand that Movsani is becoming an easy target for those who are not averse to pulling the trigger and for a much smaller fee.
