Марселла Бернстайн вміло переплітає елементи трилера та психологічної драми, створюючи напружену атмосферу, яка тримає в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Сюжет, що крутиться навколо черниці Гідеон та її сестри-близнюка Кейт, вражає своєю глибиною та складністю. Я була вражена, як автор майстерно розкриває теми провини, таємниць і людських стосунків, змушуючи читача замислитися над моральними аспектами вчинків героїв. Персонажі прописані настільки живо, що їхні переживання стають близькими та зрозумілими. Особливо сподобалася динаміка між Майклом Фальконе та сестрами, адже він не лише досліджує їхні таємниці, а й сам стає частиною їхнього болю. Книга залишила по собі глибокий слід, і я рекомендую її всім, хто любить інтригуючі історії з несподіваними поворотами!
