This project began in 2010, when I volunteered to write a post about creativity crisis for my friend Scott Hansen's blog. I hoped that I would write a short text, perhaps even offer a couple of tips, and our readers would be cured of this illness forever. Of course, I only got through a few paragraphs before I was struck by a fit of crisis. How corny! I gave up and broke my pencil (which these days should be read as “emptying the batteries from the keyboard”).

I tried to fight anyway. I sent letters asking for help to my friends and creative people I respected, calling: “Share your wisdom with me!” Twenty-five people responded to me, and we published their advice on the blog. This post instantly became (and still remains) the most popular post. Without a doubt, I was not the only one who was periodically covered by a dark wave of creative nothingness.
