The Symbol of Faith is well known to all of us, if only because we constantly hear it chanted in church during every liturgy. It is familiar to us, and sometimes we sing it with everyone without thinking. However, the Creed is, first of all, an ancient theological text, which contains all the dogmas and reveals the essence of Christian faith and hope. That's why it's so important to understand its meaning. This small book contains under one cover three works of St. Simeon of Thessalonica, the greatest Byzantine liturgist and exeget of the 15th century: “Interpretation of the divine and sacred Symbol of the Orthodox and immaculate Christian faith,” “Exposition of the most necessary instructions on the expressions of the divine Symbol, from where they are collected and against whom they are set” and “Twelve chapters or members, as some call them, containing our one Christian faith.”
