Let us be vigilant so that for the sake of this present life we do not lose the future, and because of everyday worries and troubles we do not neglect the purpose of our life. Fasting, vigil and prayer in themselves do not bring the necessary spiritual fruits; they are not the goal of our life, but only a means to achieve the goal. Fill your lamps with the oil of virtues. Strive to cut off spiritual passions. Cleanse your hearts from all filthiness and keep them pure, so that the Lord may descend and dwell in you and fill you with the grace of the Holy Spirit with divine gifts. My beloved children, all your zeal and care should be about this, should constantly constitute your goal and desire . Pray to God about this.
