Mishka, an exemplary student of the Faculty of Philology of Moscow State University, goes home for the May holidays and, instead of a quiet rest with her family, ends up at a family Sabbath. The walls of the home are being shaken by serious passions - the household members are expecting something bad. And no wonder - after all, Aunt Rose saw evil in the crystal ball, Aunt Ida’s freshly picked nettle withered, cousins Nyusha and Khryusha saw spots on the moon, Grandma Violetta’s cards are jumping like mad, and the voracious bulldog refuses to eat... But maybe this is not yet a reason for concern, Mishka rightly decides... even when she, together with her best friend Polina Kuznetsova, has to flee from a strange horseman who calls himself the Black Inquisitor...
