Alexei Urazov is a Russian historian, political scientist, specialist in the field of strategic communications and public relations. Candidate of Historical Sciences, graduate of the Faculty of History of Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov. Author of a number of scientific articles on the history of international relations, foreign policy of the United States and Great Britain in the countries of the Greater Middle East both during the Cold War and at the beginning of the 21st century. Over the years, he was part of a group of authors of scientific and applied research on foreign policy and conflict management issues. The new book “Time for Change” gives the reader a non-trivial look at Anglo-American relations during the Cold War and offers an analysis of the wave of local crises in one of the key segments of the bipolar world - the Greater Middle East. For all its apparent simplicity - “bipolarity” - the post-war world turned out to be no less complex than the polycentric models of international relations of previous years. Released in the mid-1950s. The forces of Arab nationalism brought to the forefront of the region, the increased attention to the Arab world by the USSR and the beginning of the “Oil Age” of the conservative monarchies of the Persian Gulf radically changed the once calm post-colonial status quo in the Middle East and the countries of the Arabian Peninsula.
