This book is another attempt to unravel Brodsky and talk about his life. Not dry literary criticism, but a study of the poet’s work through the fates of three women who had a great influence on his life. This is a very personal biography, the author of which, through his own emotions, tries to find an understanding of the spirit of the time and its embodiment in the figure of Brodsky. “They say that if a person has been poisoned by potassium cyanide , then he seems dead to us, but for about half an hour the eyes see him, the ears hear, the heart beats, the brain works. Brodsky’s poetry is, in a sense, a record of the thoughts of a person who committed suicide.” The book is illustrated with drawings by the poet, rare photographs and materials from the personal archives of the heroes.
